OUR STORY
Long before Sew Far began, I was already collecting bedding.
I have always loved how a beautifully made bed can transform not only the feeling of a room, but the way I feel in it.
Over the years, I collected bedding from different brands and in different styles, but could never quite find the pieces that felt just right.
That search became the beginning of Sew Far.
From Numbers to Design
Before starting Sew Far, I worked as an accountant in the Australian fashion industry.
For a long time, design, textiles and making things by hand were the creative part of my life outside of work. Over time, I realised I didn’t want them to remain just a side interest.
Leaving a familiar career behind was a big change, but it felt like the right one. I went back to study fashion and textile design full-time, choosing to follow what I genuinely wanted to create and see where it might lead.
That decision eventually led to Sew Far, founded in Brisbane, Australia in 2025.
Inspired by Life’s Little Moments
Our designs often begin with familiar moments, memories and the little things that bring us joy.
From green meadows where dogs run freely in the sunshine, to childhood memories of snowmen and a white Christmas, inspiration often comes from the simple moments that stay with us over time.
We bring these moments into our designs through colour, character and thoughtful details, creating bedding that feels personal and expressive — a little reminder to slow down and appreciate the simple joys around us.
Made with Intention
We would rather create fewer designs with a reason to exist than fill a collection simply for the sake of having more.
Our bedding is produced in considered batches, with close attention paid to colour, fabric, construction and finishing.
We work with experienced manufacturing partners to translate each design into a product that feels as good to live with as it does to look at.
It’s a slower, more intentional way of creating — one that allows us to make thoughtfully, keep exploring, and ensure each collection has a story of its own.
The Story Behind Our Name
The name began with a love of sewing and craft, and a belief in building something thoughtfully and for the long run.
And there’s one more idea behind the name:
Sew Far, So Good.
It’s more than a play on words — it’s how we hope you’ll genuinely feel after bringing a Sew Far piece into your home.
